Event Description - Food & Wine: Sangria and Tapas Tasting
Sangria, noun: A (cold) Spanish drink of red (or white) wine mixed with lemonade, fruit, and spices.

Tapas, noun: Small Spanish savory dishes, typically served with drinks at a bar.

Does that sound like a good combination to enjoy in the hot summer weather? If so, come join us at the Food & Wine Group's next event - a sangria and tapas tasting. Everyone is welcome!

This will be an informal outside event, hosted by Frank & Jan Tuhy at their house in Basking Ridge. There will be a variety of both red and white sangrias, paired with an assortment of tapas. As to the dress code, anything requiring shoes might border on being too formal.

Menu

Two White Sangrias, One Rosé Sangria and Two Red Sangrias

served with

Garlic Shrimp
Patatas Bravas
Salted Cod
Olives with Mozzarella
Tomaquet con Serrano
Nachos
Chorizo
Empanadas
Bacon Wrapped Dates Dipped in Honey
Lamb Sausage Grilled Pizza

The Food and Wine Group meets approximately every two months, where we enjoy the theme of the day plus select themes for future events. While not required, we encourage attendees to help prepare some of the food and drinks.

If you would like to provide your favorite sangria or tapas recipe(s) or help in their preparation (either at home or at the event) please contact Frank or Jaz.
