The Club of Northern New Jersey is part of MIT's alumni network, and has been serving the local alumni community for over 75 years. We offer a wide range of events to suit everyone’s taste. Whether it be a speaker series, social event, tour or book discussion, surely one of our activities will appeal to you.

The Club of Northern New Jersey is entirely run by volunteers, and could always use some extra help. Please consider sharing some of your time with us. Your involvement helps to make a better club for all.

Tour of Rutgers Alternative Energy Facilities
Join us for a tour of two solar farms and a tour of a hybrid geothermal control room, followed by a presentation on the history, economics, operation and performance of the systems and an update on Rutgers’ alternate energy & facilities projects. Registration limited to 24.

Family friendly Sterling Hill Mine Tour.  Travel 1300 feet under the ground to learn about the mining process.  We will visit the lamp room, shaft station and mine galleries dating to the 1830's. We will view fluorescent zinc ore in the amazing Rainbow Tunnel. Take home your own fluorescent mineral from the mine walls. Register here.
